As you begin your retreat, pause for a few moments and allow yourself to grow still. Let go of any distracting thoughts. Take several slow, deep breaths. Become aware of God's unconditional love for you.
Matthew 16:27
For the Son of Man will come with his angels in his Father's glory and then he will repay everyone according to his conduct.
Our God is not a harsh judge but rather a loving parent who desires to have all his children together for eternity. We were given a gift called free will and what we do with that gift will determine our destiny. You see, if we choose to ignore the embrace of God, it will not be forced upon us. If we accept God's love, it will be returned for all time.
Do I use the gift of free will to do my will or God's will for me?
