As you prepare for this retreat, pause for a few moments and pay attention to your breathing. Slowly take three deep breaths and remember that you are in the loving presence of God.

Revelation 22:17

Let the one who thirsts come forward, and the one who wants it receive the gift of life-giving water.

Come forward and receive. Life in Jesus is a gratuitous gift of God and free for the asking. For what do you thirst? Where do you go to look for life? Have you ever given it much thought? In the Book of Revelation we hear that it's up to us. We have only to take a single step forward. The things we humans thirst for, things like acceptance, understanding, compassion, and forgiveness, can all be found in our deepening relationship with Jesus. Are you thirsty? What are you waiting for?
