As you begin your retreat, pause for a few moments and allow yourself to grow still. Take several slow, deep breaths. Feel God's loving gaze upon you.

Luke 15:10

"In just the same way, I tell you, there will be rejoicing among the angels of God over one sinner who repents."

The number one can seem insignificant. Imagine 1 sheep out of 100 or 1 coin out of 10. One seems like very little in the grand scheme of things. But then think about one positive remark, one well-executed goal, one precious new life. Do you see the impact of Jesus' words? One can make a tremendous difference for good. One by one, Jesus healed. One by one, Jesus invites us into a deeper relationship with him and with the Father. And it was the One, Jesus Christ, who saved the world. Each and every person is precious in God's eyes, and as disciples we are called to recognize the great value of everyone.

Who in my life needs to experience the touch of God today?

What can I do to be a channel of God's presence to that one individual?
