As you begin your retreat, pause for a few moments and allow yourself to grow still. Take several slow, deep breaths. Become aware of God's unconditional love for you.

Joel 2:28

Then afterward I will pour out my spirit upon all mankind.Your sons and daughters shall prophesy,your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.

You know how a spilled glass of water seems to increase in volume and to cover everything near it? It seems to take on a life of its own as it runs off the ends of a table or soaks everything it touches. The Spirit of God is like that. The Spirit drenches us with so much love that it cannot be contained. The Spirit embraces all, enlivens all, and loves all.
