As you begin your retreat, pause for a few moments and allow yourself to grow still. Let go of any distracting thoughts. Take several slow, deep breaths. Become aware of God's unconditional love for you.

Luke 7:22

And he (Jesus) said to them in reply, "Go and tell John what you have seen and heard."

Jesus told the followers of John the Baptist that, through him (Jesus), the blind see, the crippled walk, the deaf hear, lepers are cleansed, the dead are raised, and the poor hear the good news of God's saving grace. Jesus' life and actions testify that he is the Savior. There are many ways people can be blind, crippled, deaf, dead, unclean, or poor. Jesus calls us to live a life that gives testimony to the presence of God, who brings healing to the world.
