1 Corinthians 13:12-13

At present we see indistinctly, as in a mirror, but then face to face. At present I know partially; then I shall know fully as I am fully known. So faith, hope, love remain, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

As followers of Jesus, we are moving in a direction. What we see, hear, and know now is only partial knowledge. We are moving towards full, face-to-face knowledge of God. We follow in the footsteps of all those who have gone before us in faith. The stepping stones are acts of faith, hope, and love.
