Before you begin your retreat, pause for a few moments of reflection. Take three deep breaths and be aware of the loving presence of God, who is with you as you begin this journey of growth and discovery. Think about the wonderful gifts present in God's creation.

Psalm 148:12-13

Young men and women too, old and young alike. Let them all praise the LORD's name, for his name alone is exalted, majestic above earth and heaven.

All of creation reveals the wonder of God and teaches us about God's great love for us. In this Psalm, nature itself gives praise to God the creator. Revealed in creation and in the Bible, God wants to be known intimately by each of us. God's gift of love calls forth a response of love.

With the glory of God's creation all around me, for what am I most grateful?
