Genesis 1:27-31

God created man in his image; in the divine image he created him; male and female he created them. God looked at everything he had made, and he found it very good.

The Bible unfolds the story of God's love for us. Beginning with creation, God makes the human family unique, forming us in the divine image. The Bible presents the story of God's love. Within the Bible we find the stories of Adam and Eve, Noah, and Abraham and Sarah. We discover stories of sin and failure along with accounts of faithfulness and salvation. In all of these stories, we discover God's deep and profound love-a love that we are called to imitate and to return to God with praise.
