Take a few moments to come to stillness. Focus on your breathing, and become more aware of God, who is with you as you continue this journey of faith.
John 19:26-27
When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple there whom he loved, he said to his mother, "Woman, behold, your son." Then he said to the disciple, "Behold, your mother." And from that hour the disciple took her into his home.
Even on the cross, Jesus was concerned with the importance of relationship. He commended his mother and his friend to care for each other. We are made to be in relationship with others, and that relationship carries with it the responsibility to care for the other just as a mother and son would do. As followers of Jesus, we are called to offer his comfort and care to all those whom God sends.
Who in my life is "invisible" and how am I being called to "see" them?
How can I be more open to serving those whom God sends into my life?
(Reverently pray this prayer or your own.)
Creator God, you made each of us in your image. Help me to recognize you in each person that I meet.
