Before you begin your retreat, pause for a few moments to set aside all distractions. Take three deep breaths. Remember that you are in the loving presence of God.
Ephesians 6:23
Peace be to the brothers, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
In this beautiful greeting, we hear Paul send wishes of peace and love to the Church in Ephesus. In today's world, we hear people talk about peace and love so much that the words have lost their meaning. Paul tells the Ephesians that the peace and love he desires for them have their origin in God. It is love born of faith and peace which only God can give. What Paul prays for the Ephesians can become our own prayer for others.
