As you begin your retreat, pause for a few moments and allow yourself to grow still. Let go of any distracting thoughts. Take several slow, deep breaths. Feel God's loving gaze upon you.

John 20:21

Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.

Hidden away behind locked doors, the disciples gather fearfully. The tomb is empty and the women tell of meeting Jesus raised from the dead. Jesus comes to them through the locked doors to heal their paralyzing fear. They receive their mission. The healing forgiveness of Jesus is conferred on the Church through the disciples as Jesus offers them peace and sends them to extend that same peace to others.

If Jesus were to come to me today, through what locked door might he have to pass?
