Take a moment to come to a place of stillness within. As you breathe in and out slowly, become aware that God wants only the best for you.
1 Thessalonians 1:2-4
We give thanks to God always for all of you, remembering you in our prayers, unceasingly calling to mind your work of faith and labor of love and endurance in hope of our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father, knowing, brothers loved by God, how you were chosen.
Saint Paul greets the Christian community at Thessalonica by commending their faith and the work they carry out because of their faith. Like these early Christians, we too are reminded that we are moved to works of love because God first loved us. The gift of faith and the grace of hope sustain us. Chosen by God, we are invited to let faith, hope, and love take root in our hearts and direct our choices and actions.
In what way am I being invited to more deeply accept God's unconditional love for me?
How am I being inspired to hope?
(Pray to God with these words or your own.)
God, you offer us the gifts of faith, hope, and love. May these gifts strengthen me to be an ever more faithful witness to your love for all.
