God said to Abraham, "I will maintain my covenant with you and your descendants after you throughout the ages as an everlasting pact, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you."
A covenant is a sacred promise that has a profound impact on those who enter into it. We know how, in our lives, situations change. Keeping commitments can be difficult. In the Bible we find a different message. Our God is a faithful God who desires to give his people abundant blessings. The covenant God made with Abraham ultimately finds its fulfillment in Jesus, who renews and fulfills the promise of abundant blessing given to Abraham.
