Association of Catholic Publishers recognizes Loyola Press with “Excellence in Publishing Awards”
CHICAGO, Ill, June 2019- Loyola Press books, Sharing the Wisdom of Time by Pope Francis and Friends, and An Invitation to Love by Fr. William A. Barry, SJ, were honored with Association of Catholic Publishers’ “Excellence in Publishing Awards.”
Sharing the Wisdom of Time won first place in the Inspirational category while An Invitation to Love received second place in the Prayer category.
Inspirational first place winner, Sharing the Wisdom of Time is a coffee table book with photographs that bring to life elders from around the world and their stories. These stories share a wealth of wisdom from a varied group of elders, including a blind basket weaver in Kenya to Academy Award-winning director Martin Scorsese.
Fr. William Barry, SJ, brings another award-winning book to Loyola Press with An Invitation to Love, a practical and adaptable sequence of prayer sessions on the great commandment of the Christian faith: to love God and love our neighbor.
The Association of Catholic Publishers’ “Excellence in Publishing Awards” recognizes the best in Catholic publishing. Last year’s “Book of the Year” was awarded to Loyola Press’s “Holy Desperation” by Heather King.
