Say to the children: On All Saints Day and All Souls Day, we remember that we are members of the People of God.
Invite the children to share ways they like to celebrate special days. Ask them to discuss the things they do on birthdays and other holidays.
Ask the children how they would like to celebrate All Saints Day and All Souls Day. Write a list of ideas on poster paper.
Ask the children to think of games, songs, food, and people they'd like to invite for the celebration. Suggest they create invitations for certain members of the parish.
Have the children create a list of items they will need for the party and who will be in charge of bringing food, plates, and plasticware.
Before the party, ask the children to find stories about their favorite saints and encourage them to share them with the group at the start of the party.
